about the history of St. Mullins in Co
Carlow |
| The early
ecclastical site of St. Mullins is
beautifully situated on a high wooden
promontory on the east bank of the river
barrow at its junction with a tributary
called the "Aughavaud River". There are a
number of churches here, a high cross, the
remains of a round tower and a
motte-and-bailey castle................ |
