Situated in historic St. Mullins, Mulvarra House lies by the banks of the River Barrow, between Co Carlow and Co Kilkenny.  Mulvarra is an ideal base from which to explore the area's many archaeological and historic sites and celebrated gardens and also the areas wide range of sporting activities – golf, horse racing, walking and canoeing. It is an ideal location to explore the South east of Ireland.
 
While you are here you can relax in our rooms with private balconies which offer beautiful views of the River Barrow, running between Brandon Hill and the Blackstairs Mountains. Come and experience the tranquillity of Mulvarra House with its total ambience of relaxation.

The Irish Times had some really nice things to say about St. Mullins in their travel supplement on 25/04/09.  Here's a snippet; "ST MULLIN’S, on the bank of the River Barrow in Co Carlow, is somewhere you’ve likely never been, but when you do go you’ll never forget it.
